Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year at Fannin County High School. Please become familiar with our policies and procedures to help support the success of students at FCHS. I ask that our students follow three simple guidelines during their high school experience:
1. Attend school
2. Participate in at least one activity (athletics, performing & fine arts and/or extra-curricular)
3. Have a willingness to learn everyday
Fannin County High School has an open door policy. All parents are invited to call the school if any concern arises and we will work together to resolve the issue. When visiting the campus everyone is required to sign in at the front office. Our staff will then escort and/or direct you to the appropriate area. This is not designed to be an inconvenience, but it is a safety pre-caution that we are upholding to protect all of our students. It is my intention that we continue to provide the families of Fannin County the highest level of instructional leadership and support. We encourage parental involvement and are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure your child’s success.
We will focus on two main areas this year: Quality Learning and a Safe Learning Environment. Alignment, Collaboration & Quality Instruction allows for our students to benefit from the knowledge of all of our teachers, as we strive for excellence. We will continue with our Positive Behavior Support Intervention Program developed by our students and staff to encourage school pride.
The four years spent in high school will have a lasting impact on the remainder of your life. Planning your future begins in high school. We are focused on preparing our students for college and career readiness and will help support our students as they select the pathway that best meets their needs. We encourage all students to get involved in some way. Research supports that students who are actively involved in their school, will demonstrate a higher level of success. I look forward to working with you this year and supporting the students and staff of Fannin County High School.
